Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 19, 2026
At MDCodeLookup.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use our website and health calculator tools.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
We may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as your name and email address if you contact us through our contact form or email us at [email protected].
b) Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies:
- Google Analytics (GA4): We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This collects anonymized data such as pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. Google Analytics does not collect your name, email, or any health information you enter into our calculators. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
- Cookies: Small text files stored on your device that help us analyze website traffic and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
2. Health Calculator Data — Your Privacy Is Built In
This is the most important section of our privacy policy.
All health data you enter into our calculators (such as age, weight, blood pressure readings, quiz answers, and test scores) is processed entirely in your web browser. This means:
- Your health information is never sent to our servers
- We cannot see, access, or collect your calculator inputs or results
- No health data is stored in any database we control
- We have no ability to retrieve your health information, even if requested
Health Dashboard & Saved Results
Our optional “My Health Dashboard” feature allows you to save calculator results to track them over time. This data is stored using your browser’s localStorage technology, which means:
- Saved results are stored only on your device, in your specific browser
- The data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party
- We have zero access to your saved health results
- Clearing your browser data or using the “Clear All Data” button on the dashboard permanently deletes all saved results
- Switching to a different browser or device means starting fresh (data does not sync)
- No account creation is required
Dark Mode & Preferences
Your display preferences (such as dark mode and unit system preferences) are also stored in your browser’s localStorage. These are non-personal settings that we cannot access.
3. Advertising
We display advertisements through Google AdSense to support our free health tools. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Important: Google AdSense does not have access to any health data you enter into our calculators. Ads are based on general browsing behavior, not your health calculator results.
4. How We Use Information
The limited information we collect (analytics and contact form submissions) is used to:
- Maintain, improve, and optimize our website and calculator tools
- Understand how visitors use our site to create better health tools
- Respond to your questions, comments, and support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Collect or store any health data from our calculators
- Create health profiles about our users
- Share personal information with advertisers

Our website uses the following third-party services that may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

We do not control how these third parties collect or use data. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

|---|---|---|
| Essential | Basic website functionality (WordPress session) | Session |
| Analytics | Google Analytics — anonymous usage data | Up to 2 years |
| Advertising | Google AdSense — relevant ad delivery | Varies |
Note: localStorage (used by Health Dashboard) is not a cookie. It does not expire, is not sent with HTTP requests, and is accessible only by our website’s JavaScript running in your browser.
7. HIPAA Disclaimer

We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or clinical services. Therefore, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) does not apply to our website or services.
Our health calculators are self-assessment tools for educational purposes only. No doctor-patient relationship is created by using our tools.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our health calculators may be used by parents or guardians to assess their children’s health metrics (such as the Child BMI Percentile Calculator), but no personal data is collected by us in the process.
9. Data Security
Since we do not collect or store your health calculator data, there is no health database to breach. For the limited data we do process (analytics, contact form messages), we use industry-standard security measures including SSL/HTTPS encryption.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
